Supporting families and Local Authorities with theholiday activities & food programme(HAF)

Join us and together we’ll play an active role against the rising inactivity crisis and help you engage and inspire children in your area. We’re ready to support you with your holiday activities and food (HAF) programme, taking some of the burden from you, your local partners and schools.

From sector-leading qualifications and delivery of holiday activities to local coordination and extensive customer support, we can help Local Authorities and Active Partnerships deliver all aspects of the HAF programme, and we’ve done it several times before, with demonstrated success in the 2020 pilot and throughout 2021.

Customer Service Support

Why worry about hefty investment in digital infrastructure when we can provide a white labelled customer bookings platform for your Local Authority? An easy, accessible solution for families to access in your locality.

We go beyond simply servicing bookings, and deploy our full Customer Service experience to support your team, providing a personable careline for customers. Our friendly team are ready to respond to inbound calls and emails, take manual phone bookings and provide support to those accessing the online bookings platform. They’re well versed in handling booking queries, amendments, cancellations and complaints, giving you one less thing to one worry about.

Training and quality assurance

To support the focus on high-quality delivery, we maintain a best-in-class inspection framework to ensure continuous improvement in standards among our coaching workforce. To ensure coordinators, providers and other partners meet the required industry standards, we will offer accredited e-learning and workshop training solutions at your behest.

We have had to be flexible and agile in adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic, and through a group partner, made it mandatory for our Activity Professionals to complete a Level 2 Ofqual registered qualification in Infection Prevention, Mitigation and Management.

That’s just one of the many qualifications that will be on offer to you as part of this process, as well as Emergency First Aid, Safeguarding, Inclusion, L2 Award for Holiday Club Activity Coaches, L2 in Understanding Children’s Mental Health, L2 in Understanding Autism and School Food Standards and Nutritional Education.

Support in co-ordination and delivery of activities

From the moment the project starts, we will be there to support you in co-ordinating activities before and during the delivery. We will provide resources to keep the project on track, form a steering group with local partners and even source food partners for you, ensuring every child gets a nourishing meal.

In the run-up, we can recruit venues and help drive partnership with nearby schools, mapping your hotspots against our own existing venue partners. Before sessions begin, we’ll also be there to conduct risk assessments and promote activities in your area. When activities commence, rest assured that our high quality, safe activities bring fun for every child, no matter what their interests might be.

Activities that extend beyond the school holidays

As part of our commitment to the HAF programme, we have plenty of resources available for children to do at home, all for free! Head on over to our Stay Active resources where you will find a selection of physical, lifestyle and health & wellbeing activities to choose from, including our Building Healthy Habits activity book.
