Premier Education apprentices are ‘outstanding’

As part of our commitment to delivering a ‘best in class’ network of coaches and apprentices it is with great pride we can announce that all Premier Education apprentices are being trained to ‘outstanding’ industry standards.

The Educationwise Academy Ltd, which provides training for all 162 of our apprentices, has been rated ‘outstanding’ in all areas in its first full inspection.

This means that Premier Education apprentices are receiving the highest quality training available to trainees in our sector, which reinforces what our school partners already know – that our network brings diligence and professional practice, passion, commitment and expertise.

Educationwise was praised by inspectors for having ‘a clear strategy to ensure the high quality of their apprenticeships’ and that apprentices ‘gain substantial skills and knowledge which will help them in their future careers’.

Our network of coaching staff relies on passionate apprentices, many of which have a background in sport, to help deliver our peerless sporting provision to primary-age children. Our apprentices share our goal to inspire a love of physical activity and improve pupil health.

David Batch, chief executive at Premier Education, comments: “Learning of Educationwise’s ‘outstanding’ inspection reinforces our belief that they are one of the best apprenticeship providers in the country. Specialising in sport, they have an innate understanding of the needs of our business and work with us to produce apprentices who are have an impeccable attitude to learning and a clear desire to enhance their skills to reach their career goals.”

For schools, knowing that the apprentices working with them are in receipt of ‘outstanding’ Ofsted training is a great reassurance – and not one that too many providers are able to offer.

Sophia Bryan-White, head of school at St Luke’s CofE Primary School in West Norwood, London, comments: “What we get from Premier Education is not easily found. It’s all about the relationship we’ve built with the coaches and the fact that we know we are able to trust what’s being delivered in terms of high-quality PE provision. The coaches are knowledgeable, respectful and they have a full understanding of the school’s ethos. They work with us towards our vision and we value that immensely.”

Of our apprentices who have achieved their qualifications to date, 45% of those scored the highest grade – distinction!

Well done to all involved! And thanks to our talented apprentices who make up a very valuable part of our network.
